JOB SUMMARY

As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient order processing, managing the entire fulfillment cycle from receipt to shipment. This includes picking orders, verifying specifications, preparing necessary documentation, and supporting timely deliveries to meet and exceed customer expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out Work Orders for steel sales and sawing services by picking steel products according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform shipping duties, including loading and preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and accurate labeling.
  • Perform receiving duties, including unloading trucks, conducting inspections, documenting incoming shipments, and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Pull products from inventory shelves to fulfill customer orders, verifying quantities and quality through product inspections.
  • Bundle and prepare products for shipping, ensuring they are securely packaged for transit, meeting our customers’ quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by properly organizing and storing materials in assigned locations.
  • Operate saw equipment to cut steel products to the required sizes.
  • Remove waste/scrap when needed and identify nonconforming material.
  • Utilize a sit-down forklift and side loader forklift to safely and efficiently move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain production equipment, product identification, and traceability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, demonstrating proficiency in various operations required.
  • Experience operating machines, such as industrial saws or side-loader forklifts, is highly preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations, including reading measurements and converting between fractions and decimals.
  • Demonstrated reliability with a safety-first mindset.
  • Experience with crane operations is a plus; training will be provided as needed to operate cranes safely and effectively.

SALARY/BENEFITS

Pay rate commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an annual discretionary bonus based on Company and individual performance.
