CX13VDW from Sullivan Steel

CX13VDW

CX13VDW is a martensitic, carburizing stainless steel with high resistance to distortion, high surface hardness, and high ductility. Its pending AMS 5720 specification provides a suitability for multiple methods of carburization that AMS 5719 does not.

ADDITIONAL INFO

In certain applications, CX13VDW may offer similar characteristics to Pyrowear® 675 with a simpler heat treatment procedure and improved workability due to the absence of cobalt. High corrosion resistance, temperature ratings, strength, and flexibility also make it a cost-effective candidate for applications where 9310 VAR is considered. Interchangeability of these grades depends on the intended application and should always be reviewed.
