GREEK ASCOLOY / 418 (AMS 5616)
Greek Ascoloy, otherwise known as 418, is a stainless, martensitic chromium-nickel-tungsten alloy with superior stress, creep, and corrosion resistance. Its transverse toughness and resistance to stress-corrosion cracking make it an ideal candidate for applications with prolonged stress exposure. It is also hardenable and machinable in all conditions.

ABOUT GREEK ASCOLOY
Greek Ascoloy (418) is most known for its combination of corrosion and oxidation resistance with high strength and creep resistance. These strength and creep resistant characteristics are best in the hardened and tempered conditions and are retained in temperatures up to 1,000°F (538°C). Extreme deep-hardening capabilities provide sufficient protection against tempering and stress-rupture, particularly relevant in critical applications such as compressor parts, bolts, or fasteners.
